By his own assessment, Roland is probably the best art critic in the world. Certainly, Felicia, his favoured student takes him at his own evaluation. But, Fred, a pragmatic art thief, sees him for what he is and, ably assisted by his daughter, Mona, who is also his accomplice, is able to use Roland's inflated ego to his own ends.
